I’d like to go over some of the things we liked most about you, so you know why we did: 1. You made yourself available. I know that this is the golden rule of real estate in theory, but practicing it consistently seems to be another matter. When you were out of town and so obviously unable to help us in person, you made arrangements ahead of time to take care of us. The transition was seamless. You never said “you can’t see the property that day” unless the seller was unable to show. 2. You never, ever made your availability seem like a sacrifice. Clearly, there must have been times that helping us was inconvenient, especially with your family obligations and obligations to other clients. But you always made us feel as though you would rather be nowhere else in the world than showing us houses at that moment. Not once did we detect even a hint of impatience. 3. You never tried to gloss over potential problems. From pointing out a leak spot on one home’s ceiling, to resisting the urge to minimize concerns we might have, we felt as though you were on “our side”, not just trying to make a sale. I must tell you that this is really what cemented my loyalty to you. 4. You are personally pleasant to be around. You have a positive, accommodating attitude, and are warm and friendly. You are the sort of person we would love to be friends with anyway, real estate transaction or no. Subconsciously I am sure that enjoying your company encouraged us to pursue a new home more adroitly. If we were using an agent with whom we were uncomfortable, we would probably still be looking...slowly. 5. You kept constant contact via email. The automatic updates for properties I received in my inbox daily were emails I looked forward to, and reminded me that you wanted my business. I actually had 3 agents sending me updates via listingbook and so on, and I had zillow and trulia alerts, but your updates, once you made the change from the earlier system, were spot on. The system you are using now is terrific. 6. You never put pressure on me. Your occasional calls or personal emails were perfect and non- pressuring. Whenever I sense high or even medium pressure I put the brakes on. You either sensed that in me or low-pressure is your normal way of doing business. Either way, perfect. 7. My wife likes you. This is really a subset of #4, but deserves its own category. You always hugged her, which is something she appreciates, and treated her with equal respect and kindness. 8. You went above and beyond, which I suppose is a little cliched but in your case very appropriate. Contacting the hoa, roofrx, negotiating furniture purchases and so on, went beyond our expectations. Donna, you are a credit to Keller Williams and to the real estate profession. I sincerely hope you will show this email to your corporate office.
